Perhaps your project is the next one that will hook, sell, and evoke delight.
This is not a coincidence.
It was more than just gum
Turbo is a chewing gum released in 1983 in Turkey by Kent. It was known in Turkey as “gum with cars”.
Turbo hit the Russian market in the early 90's, in 1−2 years it became a cult product among children across the country.
1992
In Turkey, Turbo was sold in packs of 5−10 pieces, in Russia — in packs of one. Inserts from the 80s often cost more because they were printed on heavier paper.
The original wrappers smelled a sweet odor that is still "caught" by collectors today.
One boy in the '90s traded 100 Turbo inserts for a cassette with Mortal Kombat. A real barter exchange.
It was a pass to a secret society: whoever had the most, had the coolest.
Gum lived in backpacks and hearts.
Turbo is when the liner is more important than the flavor.
1983
It was the currency of the school universe.
It was more than an exchange — it was the magic of a dream in your pocket.
One wave of the hand — and you were no longer just a student from class 5 "B"
You — the owner of a supercar, the hero of recess, the legend of the schoolyard.
Swapping dreams
You weren’t just trading wrappers. You were entering a secret alliance.
The taste that stayed in memory
Turbo wasn’t lying on store shelves. It was waiting for you in kiosks. At the corner of the school, in the shade of the trees, from a box labeled with a marker: "Gum — 1 ruble"
The main theme — cars and motorcycles: from Ferrari and Lamborghini to domestic models. There were several series in total, each — with different designs and frames.
1992
The first series — the 1980s — was the most memorable. Some liners had technical characteristics, which made them an "encyclopedia at recess." People still collect these liners — nostalgia doesn’t give up its position.
We don't trade wrappers for friendship anymore |

Turbo is inside us
The project was completed as part of the PERSPEKTIVA course.
